Explore the past. Honour the present. Educate the future.
I brought in my Korean medals along with my Fire Department medal, 25 years service.
The museum has welcomed so many veterans and given their personal military belongings a home. The museum is very welcoming and I feel a part of the family with the staff.”
“I have been a volunteer researcher at the Kingsville Military Museum for 15 years. I see the value of supporting our local museum to make sure history is kept and remembered. Many have entrusted the museum with their families military medals, discharge papers, personal military uniforms and souvenirs. I appreciate the knowledge I have received by doing the research of wars past and present, as well as doing genealogy on many of our veterans. Some families had up to 7 immediate family members enlist.
Volunteering at the museum is very comforting in the sense that I’m probably related to about 70% of those I have researched! When asked to do some research on family members who have been in the military, many are blown away to find out how many in their family actually served! Expanding the museum will allow us to focus areas committed to our veterans who served after WW2.“

“The Kingsville Military Museum is an outstanding tribute to Canadian Armed Forces from the Kingsville area that served over 100 years of conflicts from the Boer War to WWI, WWII, the Korean War, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan. The amazing effort from the volunteers has amassed an incredible number of artifacts and memories that display the contributions, heroism and sacrifices of Canadian Army, Navy, and Air forces in wars both old and relatively new.
There is no doubt that the Kingsville Military Museum will benefit from expansion. This will allow the public to fully enjoy displays from the beginning of wartime to today’s encounters, but also display the history of Kingsville before the museum was built.”

“When you walk through the doors into the Kingsville Military Museum, you enter an absolutely fascinating world in which you can get lost for days. You are surrounded by both incredibly comprehensive, visual and inspiring military history plus exhibits chronicling the proud local heritage of Kingsville, Canada’s southernmost town on the north shore of Lake Erie. Guests have chronicled this as a hidden gem which far outshines other museums they have visited in their travels. See for yourself!”

“While visiting my family in Kingsville this last July, we took a few hours one afternoon to explore the expansive collection of military memorabilia that the Kingsville Military Museum has to offer. What this community has amassed in historical artifacts is remarkable.
The artifacts cover all ranges and branches of the Canadian military and have been well preserved and displayed. It was not hard to walk through this museum and be told a story of patriotism, and pride that resonates through the community. As an American service member myself, I was appreciative of the museum’s dedication to the conjoined operations that our two countries have performed.
I would highly recommend a military historian, or buff, to get off the beaten path of what this beautiful community has to offer and explore this museum.”
